“I have enjoyed every book in this author's Romancing the Spirit series, of which this book is a part. Yet again, [CB Samet] pulled me right in, but for a completely different reason from normal.... this setup is perfect for an enemies-to-lovers romance—or at least a naturally adversarial one. But then the author mixes it up by adding in that delicious paranormal element, in this case, a ghost who has the answers for a case very close to the hero's heart as a family member is involved. The author surprised me at how well she wrote the first part that seems like just a regular contemporary romance; it did not surprise me at how well she wove in the paranormal element, as that is certainly a hallmark of her writing this series.
